The B&B Piramide takes in name form the ancient and famous Piramide Cestia, or pyramid.
Constructed in an Egyptian style, and located between the Porta San Paolo and the Protestant Cemetery, it is the icon commissioned by Gaio Cestio Epulone, and serves as his final resting place.
It is 36 meters tall and constructed of blocks and redressed in white marble.
The Porta San Paolo is one of the most important gateways of Rome, and also the best conserved.
